UWS graduate finishes internship in Costa Rica

Much can be learned outside the classroom. Much can be learned outside the country where your university is residing. So if it is feasible, students are highly encouraged to take their internships abroad.

Costa Rica is among those countries wide open for interns from American universities, such as this student from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Costa Rica Joins CAFTA

U.S. President George W. Bush issued a proclamation which will bring a pact between the United States of America and five South American countries to a regional free trade agreement.

Negotiations will start by January 2009 with Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatamela, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. These countries will be the last of the CAFTA Nations to ratify the pact with United States.

U.S. Trade Representative Susan Schwab said the this deal is an important miestone in their political and economic relationship with Costa Rica along with the other five countries
