Costa Rica Boils as North Freezes

Despite the nasty cold winter being experienced by Northern United States and Canada, Costa Rica hit the second hottest day in ten years. In Liberia temperatures hit 35 celcius. This is a record high was only closely accomplished in 1998 with a 31.2 celcius temperature.

Ants Remember Valentines Day

A very happy mother ant is rejoicing Valentine's Day as one of her offspring remembered to bring her home a flower. The leaf cutting ant had mommy in mind when he brought her a flower, not to be eaten, but to be used as a growing medium for the fungus that feeds the colony.
