Accusations of fraud and forgery, government disappointment, and a possibility of a sanction from the International Olympic Committee has led National Olympic Committee (CON) president Jorge Nery to end his 22-year stint.
He will be soon replaced by former track and field chairman Roberto Verdesia on June 13, after beating volleyball committee head William Corrales 31 to 9.
