Lender confidence will further boost in Costa Rica as the nation received an upgrade in its risk rating. From a satisfactory Stable rating, it was upgraded to a Positive. It currently has a grade of BB for long-term loans, which means Costa Rica is safe for loans in the short-term. The environment is what brings the economy of Costa Rica afloat. Its sheer beauty attracts millions of tourists every year, bringing in millions and millions of US dollars every year to Costa Rica's treasury. If not for tourism, Costa Rica might look like just any poor country in the world.Ironically, these real estate developments are the ones destroying Costa Rica's source of income. Good thing that progress is already underway to crack down violators of Costa Rica's environmental laws.
