    07/23/08 05:16
With a new fiber optic cable put in place, government telecommunications company ICE will expand its international network and increase productivity. The new fiber optic cable that landed in Costa Rica's Pacific coast will allow the nation to have more reliable communication with the east coasts of the United States and Latin America, and Asia.

This is still part of the country's opening of the telecommunications market, which will eventually invite competition.

    Breeding Galore

    07/23/08 04:56
How would you like to see hundreds of thousands of ancient reptiles converge in a beach to breed and lay their eggs?

Come to Ostional Beach in Costa Rica, one of the nation's obscure areas, and witness this spectacle. Hundreds of thousands of olive ridley turtles, whose existence date back to ancient times, troop to the Beach's black sands to lay down millions of eggs. That's too much for any predator to bear. Just a warning, though: be careful with your movement as it is nearly impossible not to step on an egg with each step.

Hence it should not come as a surprise that people are really delighted about the agreement between Globo TV and Televisora de Costa Rica for airing about 2000 hours of the former into the region. This partnership is nothing new but has been successful in the past as well.
