Fisherman Hauls Drugs

A Columbian gang has been recruiting Costa Rican fisherman and their fishing boats to haul drugs off the shores of Costs Rica. They are getting paid up to $3,000 U.S. for each run.

A spectacular fire in a warehouse/store caught fire. Fortunately no one was hurt in the blaze but the building was completely destroyed. This warehouse held most school supplies.

76-year old Kite Man

Neftali Castro Cardenas has been making kites for 36 years and selling them at the park on sunny days. The trees that the kites get caught in were just a bit taller than he is when he first started.

Decline on horizon for El Nino

Costa Rica has had the driest period in 30 years because of El Nino and the agricultural industry suffered from droughts even though the tourists loved it. However, the experts feel it has reached a high point and will soon decline.
