The Nicaraguan ambassador to Costa Rica made an error in judgment as he was being sworn into his new job by using in the A for Amnesty word. He stated he would lobby to push for amnesty for his countryment living illegally in Costa Rica.

Only Ten Percent of Fire Hydrants Work

The residents of Costa Rica certainly don't want to have a fire anytime soon because should that happen they may not be able to get it put out. The government has revealed that only 10 percent of the fire hydrants in the country have a water flow which will fight fires.

A crowd of 8,500 is expected today to watch the Dynamo's International Debut against Puntarenas FC. It is sure to be a hostile atmosphere at the Lito Perez Stadium when these two teams match up for the first leg of a home-and-home quarterfinal series of the Champions' Cup.

Costa Rica Boils as North Freezes

Despite the nasty cold winter being experienced by Northern United States and Canada, Costa Rica hit the second hottest day in ten years. In Liberia temperatures hit 35 celcius. This is a record high was only closely accomplished in 1998 with a 31.2 celcius temperature.

Movement of Alluminum Plant Rumoured

Suspicision are on the rise that the shortage of aluminimum being sent to plants, being reasoned as developmnent strategy may have more to do with the possibility of the fabrication plant being moved to Nicaragua.
