Ettinger Driving Force Behind Surf Scene

For the last thre years Shifi Ettinger has been traveling at her own expense and taking pictures which she hopes to help showcase local surfing events in all of Costa Rica. She is hoping that pictures of the kids surfing with bring forth sponsorships.

Peter Pan Flies from Shelves

A U.S. food company has recalled Peanut butter because of a potential link to salmonella and on Friday jars of this contaminated peanut butter were found on the shelves of Costa Rican grocery stores and consumers shelves.

Home Invasion-Suspects Not Found

Wife of U.S. embassy employee was tied up during the home invasion by three men carrying shotguns. This is only one of many of the invasions on up-scale homes in Escazu. The only thing different is that this one was done during the daytime instead of the usual nighttime invasions.

Costa Rica's win of 2-0 over El Salvador ensures that they will face Panama in the final of the Central American Cup on Sunday. Costa Rica attacked out of the gate during the game and in the first twelve minutes put in two goals from which El Salvador could not rally back.
