Until February 18 Puntarenas is in Carnival. So party on until two days before the start of Lent. There will be dancing, fireworks and even sumo wrestling during the carnival and a lot of the action will be on the Paseo de lost Turistas, the Parque Abelardo Lobo and the cruise ships terminal.
