The credit crunch is said to have a lasting effect on developing nations, but Costa Rica's stats show that it may be already recovering.In fact, Standard & Poor's maintained Costa Rica's credit rating as "stable," because of its years of good GDP growth and fiscal measures that helped reduce public sector debt from 50% of GDP in 2006 to 40% of GDP in 2008.
